(More customer reviews)I love this popper. I was looking for a way to make homemade kettle corn & this is it. It is so easy to use. My 12 yr old makes popcorn by himself and my younger kids love to crank the handle. For kettle corn I use 1/2 cup Orville popcorn, 1/4 c white sugar(brown makes caramel corn) and a little oil, sprinkle with salt before serving. Dump all together and put on burner. 5 mins later you have delicious kettle corn. I highly recommend this if you are tired of microwave and really want delicious homemade popcorn. A little FYI we have tried the popcorn kit it comes with, while it is good(a wee bit salty in spots) it's really not all that necessary. You get delicious popcorn using Orville's and a little butter drizzled on.

(More customer reviews)We just trialed the counter top hot air popcorn popper by Dolci. Very satisfied with its performance. In spite of old popcorn (back of the cupboard jar!) most of the corn popped. True, it sounds as though a freight train is speeding through your kitchen, however the high decibels proved worth it. Texture and taste of hot air popcorn is notoriously like hard styrofoam--this popcorn was tasty and light. Beware though--this popcorn popper draws a lot of current. If you are in an older home, you may find it tripping breakers. The 'keep warm' feature is great, especially useful because this popper pops a big batch and unless you have a houseful you will want to refill your bowl with nice, hot popcorn. A bit pricey, but after spending money repeatedly on poor quality poppers, we finally got what we paid for--a good solid machine. Would give it 5 stars, but will need to use it longer for it to 'earn' all five. So far, so good!

I bought this popcorn maker about a year ago ( I also bought a cart with mine). I cant tell you how much I love it and everyone who visits me loves it. Well it came really quick and was packaged well and nothing broke or missing. I am not someone who can fix things and could not wait to use and assembled the cart myself instead of waiting for my husband. If I can do it, anyone can. So that is just in case you get the cart which also has a a nice decoration and storage area. Anyway, this thing is easy to clean. I see they sell stuff to clean it but that is not needed at all. Of course, I clean mine after every use so there is no buildup, Just wipe it down with soapy dishwater and then I windex it, done in 5 minutes. Six ounce makes a lot of popcorn. I bought the small square boxes and I fill 7 of those with one popping. So if you want to make smaller batches you can get some 4 oz popcorn packets. However, the popcorn tastes great cold too. I buy megapop corn/oil/salt kit (2836). When I first got it I got extra salt and the butter topping but that was a waste of money and I never used it. That popcorn makes perfect theater popcorn just like the movies by itself, the yellow buttery salty great flavored popcorn, nothing else needed believe me! Also warm your machine for 4 minutes and follow the directions on the popcorn package not your machine package to get the most kernels popped. After it finishes popping stir the popcorn putting in bags or whatever you use as it seems the first 1/3 out is the most buttery and just mix it to even that out. I also bought some popcorn bags on ebay for like 1000 for 20 bucks and I get my popcorn from Home Theater Express. Delivery fast there and popcorn kept cold and when you sign up online they always have discounts. You have to keep the popcorn packets in a cool place cuz you dont want the oil side to melt (messy). I cant tell you how much we love this popper. I highly suggest you to buy it and follow my advice to make perfect home theater popcorn right in your own home.
It is very sturdy, easy to move around, the base is a storage unit and holds a lot. I came with a popcorn scoop and some measuring cups which are not needed as I buy the popcorn packets buy if you buy bulk popcorn supplies will come in handy. There is a little shelf on the side, I put movie theater box candy piled up on there but can use it for anything.

(More customer reviews)We purchased and received this machine about a month ago from Amazon.com. Since then we've enjoyed using it. Set up was a breeze...nothing difficult to assemble. We wiped everything down to sanatize it and popped our first batch. While our first batch as decent...we had quite a few unpopped kernals (we didn't use enough oil) and have had to refine our technique a bit. The machine itself seems to be of decent quality for $200 bucks. It's worked just fine and we have absolutely no complaints at this point.This is what we've learned in the past month that may be of use to others. If you don't use enough oil you'll end up with a lot of unpopped kernals. We use about 4 TABLESPOONS of oil with 1 cup of popcorn and it seems to be the perfect combination. One cup of popcorn weighs about 7 ounces and that's the perfect amount for my wife and I.....yes we do love popcorn. If you're not as much into popcorn as we are....you could probably give a nice treat to 4 or 5 people with one cup of unpopped corn and 4 tablespoons of oil.
One thing we'd highly suggest is that you use a product called "Flavacol" which is basically butter flavored salt. You add it right to the oil in the pot before adding the popcorn. We used about a level TEASPOON for one cup of unpopped popcorn and it was about right for us. It's the product that two movie theaters use that we asked....that's how we found out about it. It definately does give your popcorn that "movie theatre taste" we all know and love. We couldn't find Flavacol around town here....so we found you can order it from Amazon or Ebay or probably a number of other places as well. It's cheap...so no worries about the cost.Buy this machine and go forth and enjoy !

After just a year my Nostalgia Electrics' Kegerator started to break down. I did some research on replacement parts and found out they are using some of the cheapest parts on the market! Instead of having to pay a few hundred bucks in replace parts I decided to find a different model. After doing a ton of research I was fortunate to find the new Frosty Kegerator. The price was amazing and the description / pictures seem to indicate they were using better parts. I was so happy when I started to unpack it. The kegerator was clearly made better and they were using superior parts than the competition. This includes a dual CO2 gauge which goes for about 80 dollars alone when I was looking to replace the inferior single gauge part which the Nostalgia's kegerator offers. In summary, you will not be let down with selecting the Frosty Keg as your next kegerator!

Deni 15400 Electric Popcorn Maker, 3 Quart Review

(More customer reviews)Original 4 star rating (UPDATE below) : This unit works very well popping 1/3 a cup of kernels in 3 minutes using 1 tablespoon of oil as per the instructions. It is small and easily stored, makes plenty of corn, and is easy to clean. Two improvements would be that the butter cup stay on when butter is melted (no butter and it stays on) and the smell of the non-stick surface fade faster. Good popper.
UPDATE to 2 stars : This unit was purchased in late October 2010. It is now late February 2011. It still rotates but there is no heat = no popcorn. If I pay return shipping I'll get a partial refund so in the trash it will go along with my original review.
Stay away from this machine.

(More customer reviews)I did a lot of research on these before deciding on this fantastic machine. Trust me, you can look a long time and not find anything close to this value at this price point or even one much, much higher. Highly recommend for that finishing touch on your home theater.
Pros:
- 3 switches for power (1 kettle stirrer, 1 heating lamp/under carriage heating element and 1 for kettle heat). This will add a lot of life to your machine!
- Large 8 ounce kettle pops plenty of corn for a family of 4 or use a smaller portion (or portion pack) for movie night with your spouse.
- EASY assembly and very mobile. Essentially it comes in 4 pieces, the main unit, the cart and a couple of tires. It took longer to get rid of the boxes than to assemble it. We have actually wheeled this out in front of the house so my son can sell popcorn and lemonade, its that mobile.
- Storage cabinet holds a lot of supplies
Cons:
- A bit on the messy side. The side windows need to be wiped down every couple of uses but a paper towel usually does the trick.
- Metal popcorn scoop handle came off after a few weeks, but its easily glued back on.
- Makes my wife want to eat a lot of popcorn. Seriously....
From the time you decide to have popcorn to actually having the popcorn is less than 5 minutes. I recommend the popcorn packs but also look for other coconut oil packs for popcorn machines and "Flavacol" for that true theater taste. Everyone who sees the machine and has the popcorn wants one of there own!

While the smaller serving bowls are cute, they are really too small to be useful. It would better if you did not have to pay for those too.

Not sure why this differs from the mentioned 9". So, when the bowl arrived, altho' quite nice, it was smaller than I expected; this bowl wouldn't be big enough for my family to share...I'd eat it all myself!

(More customer reviews)I read the reviews on Amazon and was a bit skeptical. Now after owning the unit for 6 months, I can say I am 100% satisfied. The only issue I have is the unit is quite heavy . . . .probably close to 70 pounds. That is a good thing for durability, but it can be a little heavy for my wife to try and move. The machine pulvarizes the ice very quickly and efficently. I have tried smaller units and they were of inferior quality and jammed all the time. I have never had an ice jam and we use this weekly. Happy snow cone making!
